Fact
- This episode revealed many resemblances with the real-life case of Jean-Claude Romand, a French impostor and murderer who fooled his family and friends for 18 years; they thought he was a successful medical professional and researcher in the World Health Organization. It also resembled the case of John List, who murdered his entire family when they met with financial troubles.
